Hey anyone that remembers me, I was an original Kapok from back in the FFXI days, playing ... or rather trying to play (lag is unimaginable) FFXIV. Get back with me if you want to meet up in game and get a linkshell going, Jas, Ian, Ginger ... CoP static, it was epic

Edit: UGHHH I forgot what a stupid name I had on ffxi before I changed it to pizark, i'm 27 I cant be naming myself after anime/manga stuff!

I'm on sarona, not very far along, maruader 10 physical 12 smith 8, I've had to resort to half buffer on the lowest res just to get the game to run lag free, I cant even make out peoples names its set so low lol .... 1500$ asus gaming laptop thats 1 year old and its obsolete already, how sad is that. at medium settings it is playable for maybe 4 minutes and then lags out for about 6 minutes, but at least the other way I can still level and buy the ps3 version when it comes out with a leg up

I got a 2500 on benchmark so I assumed it would be playable but meh, what can you do

probably, its an nvidia geforce 260m, I cut graphics from 32 to 16 and it seemed to help, still lags out occasionally after 10-15 minutes though. I'll post specs when I get off work but off the top of my head its something like 2.2-2.4 gig processor 8 gig ram and I wanna say the gpu is 1024.

I wish I could overclock my gpu but without being able to get a decent heatsink in there i'd probably ruin the laptop

no kidding! they are also splitting up the high traffic areas between servers, hopefully that will help with my lag
