sounds pretty cool, wonder if they will be able to pull it off like they advertise

brandnew HD games on entry level computers / TV set only requiring 5 mbps connection ... hope they can do what they claim b/c that would be sweet

although i'm sure they'll charge a hefty price for it if they can :P

they will need to carge a good price because of the hardware costs, but then as a new thing to the market they will need to be competitive too. They have said they are not releasing pricing yet but some of the preiviews are running from 50 miles away so shows it can work.

Distributed computing - great.
Cloud computing - ... hmmm.

Prime example was Salesforce USA (cloud CRM system)... they had an outage for several hours in the day and thousands of companies lost ALOT of revenue because they couldn't access their customer information... Cloud stuff seems too delicate to be a system that can work seamlessly...

Now... a system that was Cloud... and distributed... now THAT's the future :)

im sure the development will have some form of redundancy should this take off. games have the budget to push forward a front so will be interesting too see.
