Alright boys,

Just wondering if any of you guys know why i can't see special characters like this ♫? An like the little heart things? They just appear as squares?

I can't seem to search the right thing in google to find a suggestion?

Cheers

They show up fine for me. Have you tried a different browser? Which one/s are you using?
It might also be down whether these sites have been coded to display foreign character sets.

Yeah, character map works. But none of those particular ones work.

I'm using firefox. The characters don't display in MSN either.

Any ideas on what font it could be?

Are your regional and language settings correct? (believe in XP its just called Regional Settings in the control panel) just ensure that everything is set to English United Kingdom and that the non-unicode locale is set to UK to etc etc.

Nope, that's not it.

Seems your fallback font might be screwed up. Have you tried going into notepad, setting font to arial, and then pasting the character in? If that works then it definately fallback font problem cause the glyph doesn't exist in verdana font so it should use uniscribe fallback thing iirc.
Is it XP you use or Vista?

I went into word and pasted the character in under the arial font and it displayed it :D

So does that mean i have to re-install a font? If so which one and where can i find it?

You need to reinstall the "Windows" font, and you can find it on the installation CD by putting it in and booting from it ;)
