With every year that passes by, I take a while to sit back and reflect on where we have been and how far we have come. The last twelve months have been our most active and exciting for a very long time, almost harking back to some of our more glorious days way back in 2003 and 2004.

It is the first time in almost five years that we can boast two flagship clan regiments. Back then it was all about Red Alert 2 and Renegade, now we're all talking about Quake Wars and CounterStrike Source! As if that wasn't already enough, several of our CSS members also manage to squeeze in some time for a few games of StarCraft. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, which has been at the forefront of our aims as a clan since day one.

Six years is absolutely incredible. Clans come and go every day, but I can say with great confidence that we'll be here in a year's time hailing the number seven.

Just a couple of individual thank-yous to people who have been outstandingly fantastic here over the last year:

Dan "Emerald" - We don't always agree on methods :P But at least we're pulling it off! Since we got CSS going again this year, it's been very tight and organised in contrast to some of our efforts in Renegade's twilight years and CSS at times last year.

Kip - A little quiet around these parts! Doesn't mean he doesn't do a first-class job. The task of putting together a team from scratch for ETQW must've been extremely daunting, but he's steadily managed it and we now have a solid group of players. We don't see a lot of you guys, but in the next year it'd be nice if we could integrate a little more :)

And everyone else really, I have personally had a great time this year, and it's thanks to everyone in general that we have had the privelige of finding enjoyment through playing with each other!

Thanks Knit, I'm pretty sure I don't deserve a special mention and there's plenty more work that can, and will, be done for CSS by in the coming months by me.

I'd like to thank everyone who's stuck with CSS despite me. Especially Bronze and Tennek who have put up with quite a bit of stick from me throughout their time here. Slowly we're sorting out problems from both sides and will hopefully continue to grow together within the CSS and SC regiments. I thank Knit for his continued support after I finally broke him down and convinced him we should have a CSS regiment, even if I did have to buy the game for him! He's definately put more work into this section organisationally outside of actual gaming, than me, and has allowed me to focus my efforts on other things. Despite not playing as much, thanks to Nick for being around when we've needed him most of the time. He's been reletively good in wars considering his lack of experience :) Deon you need to play more CSS! Last, but of course not least, I need to thank Typh for everything he does with his scout in CSS and his voice on teamspeak. He's definately a team player and having him in a team creates focus for the rest of us and he's a player that we all know we can rely on.

As for SC! Wow... SC! 10 years on since it was released and despite it's age this is definately the busiest this regiment has been for Kapoks. I definately have no regrets telling everyone to "buy SC" and I urge everyone else on here who hasn't got it: BUY STARCRAFT. You're all running out of time before StarCraft 2 comes out at the end of the year and you'll not know the storyline! So hurry up! I commend everyone who still plays against me although they may feel it's a hopeless cause. Knit and Bronze are showing that through hard work it is possible to at least worry me now and again. Bronze has evolved very quickly as an SC player and is now starting to understand how to play. SC takes a lot of brains and thinking and I try to teach everyone else little bits of info as they play me. Typh has definately been listening to me and, despite not winning that often, has made some extremely good plays recently! Just need to link it up with a more long-term plan :) We can't forget his imitations either! This has definately been a very entertaining time in SC. Knit you need to play more... you had me worried not that long ago and we havn't really played since! I don't want you getting so close then not managing to quite reach the top. You went into this tournament with a great chance of reaching the final but i'm fearing for your rustiness a bit recently. Deon too doesn't seem to be on that much so you have a chance! :D! Tennek... Tennek.. Tennek. If you actually listened and learnt from your mistakes you wouldn't get beaten so much. Spend more time thinking about what went wrong rather than just beating yourself up about it. Believe it or not playing me will actually help!

Thanks to everyone else who i've not mentioned yet has helped Kapoks out this year, it's been a good un!

Unfortunately i wasn't around at the actual day, but congrats to everyone who's been a part of this great clan.

And a great job done to Knit, Dan and Kip, and the players who supported them in their journey to succes

wow, i looked at the date n the 15th and though "something big is happening today" but obviously it went straight through my head :(

well done though everyone,, kip for ETQW and eme for CSS, both seem to be doing well, congrats!

i've been around this clan for 5 years now..half a f***ing decade (regrettedly only actually played for kapoks about a year over all lol). i have been here since my first week of online gaming, how about that?! :O

but esp a big gratz to knit, i've seen this place absolutly desolate yet knit sticks in there and makes a massive u-turn and now kapoks is thriving again.

i can only hope with the upcomimg SC2 release and a dedicated CSS side that this will carry on for another six years!

bravo to knit and all affiliated with him for tthis momentus 6 years (and 6 days (sorry!))
