Although, from what I have read, it doesn't appear to be very "clans friendly" with its different game modes, I'm sure we could find a way onto this game in some capacity, even if Kapoks.AvP is just a fun clan :)

I have considered many times leaving vista behind for XP or Linux but have never brought myself to do so, 7 seems a good time to do just that.

Home Priemium seems to have many of the features you would expect however other options add the XP virtulisation. Have any of you experianced use with it and is it required to run those older programs eg Starcraft as i dont want to shell out another £60 odd pounds for that feature should i not need it.

Also have they sorted out the networking in 7? vista seems slow when it comes to dealing with the network and files in addition the network management seems way too over simplified meaning sooo many sub menus to do something simple (very fustrating when trying to make a quick change).

That and the server was previously situated somewhere in the USA.

If you see this message, it means you are now connecting to a Virtual Machine running on VMware in Manchester Science Park, inside my workplace's datacentre suite :P
During the late afternoon and the evening, the communication lines coming in there get pretty well used up so latency on the site may increase during those times... However, since all the UK and European guys (which make up the most part of Kapoks) now have many less hops to connect... this may well balance out.

Anyways, you should all thank my work collegues for letting me put it there... completely free :)
I've hooked the site up to our main 100Mbps line, and I will eventually load balance the site across to the other one too at some point, which is hardly touched at the moment. I would've done it immediately but it requires a visit to the datacentre to recable the VMware machine so it goes through the other DMZ switch... not that you should know what I mean I just like to talk ^^

NB: Those with any email addresses, please contact me, including Knit. I've sorted Gary's but I didn't bother with any others since it was a last minute thing and CPanel went down shortly after I took all the backups hehe. Basically, I will need to setup mailboxes and aliases again before the emails will work again. Oh yes, it is me Lars aka Lars!!! also know as Heaven in the last few months of my Kapoks membership.

Decided to take a look around again on how things are going in here :) Missed the Kapoks birthday once again... sigh. But i had a valid reason this time, was with my gf in Sweden for 6 weeks. I am planning to stop with WoW due to my study, but i do have a gaming interest inside me. Yes you all know that ticklish feeling in your belly! So i was wondering what the main activities of Kapoks are at now and if there are any new games in the scopes of Kapoks. Nothing is on paper ofcourse but if i do have the time, you might see me playing with a few of you again.
